Current Degree Program: Ph.D.

Research Group/Focus: Prof. Hassoun's group. My main focus is on systems biology including modeling, analysis, and synthesis of metabolic pathways.

Why did you pick this particular area: I believe the new era belongs to the exciting biomedical sciences. Equipped with the knowledge of computer science, I saw the opportunity to explore the vast interdisciplinary field of system biology and I took it.  

Why did you choose Tufts CS: It was all about working with the experts of the field and quality of education. I was also impressed at the high percentage of female faculty members.

What's the best thing about Tufts CS Department: People are the kindest I have ever seen. The atmosphere is very friendly and warm while still having the rigor needed for a grad school.

Advice for those considering enrolling: No matter how good your future school is, it depends on you to really get the best out of it and seize the opportunities.

What do you hope to do after graduation: I am looking forward to working in a place where my expertise are in demand and beneficial to the people near and far.
