Hassoun Speaks at Parents and Family Weekend

On Saturday, October 17, Chair and Professor Soha Hassoun gave a lecture "A Computational Perspective: Can We (Re)-Engineer Biology?" as part of the "Experience Life as a Student" event at Tufts' Parents and Family Weekend. The talk kicked off by describing the expansive and expanding field of Computer Science. Hassoun then described two examples of how engineering biology can impact health and energy. She also highlighted recent results of her research on constructing synthesis pathways and identifying gene interventions to enhance cellular productivity. The talk was well received.
