Prof. Hassoun Named EDA Luminary

Congratulations to Chair and Associate Professor Soha Hassoun for being named one of 33 luminaries of the Electronic Design Automation Consortium.

Nearly five decades ago, a new era in electronics innovation was born: Electronic Design Automation (EDA). Before EDA, integrated circuits were designed by hand and manually laid out. EDA provided ways to automate the design process and take electronics to places never dreamed possible.

Hassoun, only one of three women named luminary, was honored at a reception held at the Computer History Museum on Oct. 16, 2013.
