Consider applying to the Ph.D. program in Computer Science at Tufts University, located only three miles and three subway stops from Cambridge, MA, home to Harvard and MIT, and six subway stops to beautiful Boston.
We have several open research positions for the fall of 2010 in the following areas: VLSI/CAD, graphics, computer security, and computational biology. Other openings may also become available in AI/Machine Learning, Theory of Computation, HCI, Network Administration, Computational Geometry, Parallel Computing, and Software Engineering. In addition, a number of graduate assistantships (either teaching assistantships or systems assistantships) will be available for qualified candidates. The department also offers a few fellowships.
The candidate should be among the top 15% within his or her graduating class. GRE scores at or above the following are strongly recommended: VERB: 600, QUANT: 760, Writing: 4.5. Applicants with a master's degree and/or industrial experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
