Degree Programs
The Department of Computer Science offers two majors, through the School of Arts & Sciences and the School of Engineering. Both degrees have a core of Computer Science Requirements. The degrees differ to a small extent in additional Computer Science requirements and to a larger extent in the general requirements of the colleges. Both degrees give an excellent grounding in Computer Science. The additional requirements can be used to suit students learning interests and agenda. The department of Computer Science also participates in an interdisciplinary major in Cognitive and Brain Science. For further details, please see the following:

Admissions
Applicants interested in undergraduate studies in the Computer Science Department must contact the Tufts Undergraduate Admission Office where admissions are handled centrally.
Once in the program, students in the School of Engineering may declare a major in the Computer Science Department upon matriculation to Tufts. Students in both Colleges can also declare Computer Science as a major at certain points during their first two years.
