Demo Lecture: Compression with the Huffman Coding Algorithm

Bio:

Milod Kazerounian is a 6th year PhD candidate in the Computer Science department at the University of Maryland. For the last two years, he has been based at Tufts, where he has taught courses and conducted research with his advisor, Jeff Foster. His research explores ways to introduce static types, a tool for ensuring the correctness of programs, to dynamic languages like Ruby. For a taste, check out RDL, a Ruby type checker he has helped develop.
