Abstract

As a senior design project in the Spring of 2000, Ethan Danahy worked with Ian Kezsbom on creating a 10-minute computer animated short. Incorperating some of the latest technology, used in movies such as The Matrix, a short film was produced with Avid's SoftImage|3D. In the spirit of other computer animations like Toy Story and with an appropriate EECS theme of "The Adventures of EPROM", this project incorperated all aspects of the film process, from design to animation to editing. Ethan will present an overview of the project, an example tutorial to give an idea of the process, and conclude with the presentation of the movie.
