Abstract

Clustering is an important application area for many fields including data mining, statistical data analysis, compression, vector quantization, and other business applications. It is an emerging area between computational geometry and artificial intelligence. In this talk I will share with you what clustering is, a few important examples of clustering algorithms, problems as well as solutions, and what has been done in research community. If we have time at the end, I will talk about future research.
