Audrey Girouard is a PhD student in Computer Science at Tufts University, under the supervison of Robert Jacob. Specializing in Human Computer Interaction, Audrey is interested in Brain Computer Interfaces, currently studying the use of brain imagery to enhance HCI with the use of functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). Her research goal is to employ this device to augment an interface, to use it as an additional input measure, on top of classic ones such as the keyboard and the mouse. This would be used to create passive brain-computer interfaces for healthy users. She also is interested in next generation interactions. In 2007, she received the PostGratudate Scholarship for doctoral studies from NSERC and completed her master's in computer science at Tufts. Before she came to Tufts, Audrey received her undergraduate degree in Software Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada. She is a Junior Engineer with the Order of Professional Engineers of Quebec (OIQ) in Canada. News:Audrey is currently doing an internship with Wendy Mackay in the InSitu group at INRIA/Universite de Paris-Sud. She will be in Paris until the end of November 2008. |
