COMP 11, Fall 2002: Weekly Assignments and Programming Projects

Your assignments include both written homeworks and programming projects. There will be weekly assignments of both kinds. The following table gives a detailed schedule of assignments and deadlines.

Your written homeworks for each week should consist of answers to the Review Questions at the end of each chapter (or in material provided), and a few weeks into the semester also the Programming Project Designs for whatever programming projects are due that week. We will provide clear directions for Program Designs in due course. In the reading assignments Ch1, Ch2, etc. refers to chapters 1, 2, etc. in the C++ text and DH 7, DH 8 refer to the corresponding chapters in the Analytical Engine text.

All written homeworks are due by noon on the date due (usually a Tuesday). You should hand in your homeworks in the EECS office, in the mailbox labeled with your lab section number unless your lab section leader requests that you submit them to him or her electronically.

Descriptions of the programming projects are available at http://www.eecs.tufts.edu/comp/11 -- look under ``Descriptions of programming projects.''

All programming projects are submitted and graded on the Andante computer. Each project is due by 11:00 pm of the due date. Note that the deadline for Section 1 (Prof. Khardon) is on Wednesdays and the deadline for Section 2 (Prof. Schmolze) is on Thursday of the corresponding week.
