Abstract:
This report contains the papers from the workshop on "What is the Next Generation of Human-Computer Interaction?" held at the ACM CHI 2006 Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, on April 23, 2006, in Montreal. The workshop explores whether there is an emerging next generation of human-computer interaction, rather than simply a myriad of disparate, unrelated new developments in the field. It brings together researchers in a range of emerging new areas of HCI to look for common ground and unifying concepts for understanding and identifying a next generation of user interfaces.
