The control of large banks of data, multiple access to information,
and independent updating. Specific problems including airline
reservations and computer banking. The design of a DBMS
including the organization of storage, time efficiency analysis,
and the creation of specialized languages for queries. The
study of current systems.
Prerequisite: Computer Science 71 and 80 or consent.
(Computer Science 71 was Data Structures and 80 was Programming Languages.)
