Workshop: Breakout Game

Download the javascript Breakout program on the lecture examples page under "Breakout game"

• Add a new feature or change to the game, for example:

  • Change the sizes and colors of the bricks
  • Change the speed of the moving ball, or the direction it moves in, perhaps make the ball move faster after it hits the paddle
  • Change the color of the ball every time it hits the wall or when it hits a brick
  • Make the paddle move faster or slower, or change its size
  • Change the number of bricks in a row or a column, or their positions
  • Adjust the boundaries of the paddle movement, so the whole paddle will always be visible on both edges of the Canvas instead of only half of it
  • Change the angle the ball bounces off the paddle

• Or make up a more interesting feature of your own

OOP modularization should make most of these changes easier!
