Programming Assignment 5 - Introduction to EJB in Eclipse

Due date: Before class on Tuesday, 10/19/2004

This assignment is worth 50 points and will familiarize you with EJB development using Eclipse/Lomboz/JBoss.

Your task is to complete the last section of chapter 1 of this tutorial, the part titled, "Test your configuration."

When you go through the tutorial, change the strings that the client and server send. Be creative because it gets boring to read the same message over and over.

Your only deliverable is a screenshot of the Console window in Eclipse showing the interaction between your test client and your new Bean. It should say something like:
Request from client: [something clever]
Message from server: [something clever]

To take a screenshot in Windows, press the Print Screen button to copy the current screen to the clipboard, then open Windows Paint and paste the image. Save the image, preferably as a GIF file to save space.

If you want to to work on this at home, you need to install Lomboz and JBoss. We've provided a walkthrough to help you do this. Don't just follow the directions in the tutorial; they were written for different versions of the software and you will have problems!

Submit the screenshot using the provide utility. You will need to log into sun.eecs.tufts.edu and use the following command line:
